Charging Lockers
We developed a charging element for lockers after several requests from school teachers and bursars. They asked “how can we prevent laptops from being stolen?".
With the increased use of laptops in schools and universities concern was raised with theft of such valuable items. Not just in terms of cost but work stored on the laptop.
This question led us to the development of our SafeCharge range of lockers. This locker uses 2mm thick heavy gauge steel, which is more than double the thickness of our standard lockers, although it presents the same aesthetic appeal and secure outlook of a normal locker. It has the added benefit of charging the laptop too.
Security of the locker is increased by means of both sides of the cam lock engaging into the doorframe. Additionally for extra security a steel bar can be added and locked down the front of the doors.
The SafeCharge locker can be manufactured in either five, ten, fifteen compartments or a trolley option which enables easy access between classrooms.
The SafeCharge product has now been successfully installed in location across the UK and Scandinavia. Please read our case study below of how Telford College took our SafeCharge product to protect 600 laptops.
