Tact Enviro Ltd based in Somerset, UK was established in 1999 by Pippa Highnam (Managing Director) and John Highnam (Sales Director). Tact (Technically Advanced Coatings & Treatments) initially supplied floor coatings and repair materials.
As the business developed, Tact responded to the increased demand for
non-slip flooring and in 2001, the company became the sole UK distributor for Bergo; an international manufacturer of high quality plastic floor tiles, based in Sweden.
TactTiles are an ingenious interlocking flooring system, which have secured a strong client base within many schools, leisure centres and local authorities. The company’s growing success has seen their ventures increase overseas, both in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Tact continues to supply durable wet and dry area flooring solutions in a variety of leisure installations such as swimming pools, spas, changing rooms and sports floors.
The company continues to gain new business in industrial markets with TactTiles’ impressive durability and anti-slip properties, proving ideal for warehouses and factory floors.
Tact’s developing client base has clearly identified many of the benefits associated with a TactTiles floor. The average lifespan of these flooring solutions is over fifteen years. In addition to the ability of expansion and relocation, they are UV resistant, making suitable for indoor and outdoor areas and are 100% recyclable – an issue to be considered in today’s market.
These floors allow for bespoke design and are available in a variety of colours, many of which can also accommodate cable management requirements. The added value regarding the simplicity of installation means they can be laid on a contract or DIY basis.
With such versatile and cost effective flooring alternatives, Tact predicts countless more areas in which their comprehensive flooring products are set to become the number one choice for contemporary and innovative surfacing.
